Notes
The final composition is anchored nicely by the dark olive oil bottle and the nearly horizontal placement of the knife at the bottom. The knife’s tip touches the edge of the paper. This would traditionally likely be discouraged as a compositional choice, but here it introduces a slightly foreboding tone to an otherwise simple still life.
