Abstract Shell Studies
This slide presents two sketchbook pages of simplified/abstract line drawings based on the same shell. My ability to find meaningful abstractions was strengthened through the long hours spent on the previous realistic pencil drawings. Now that I think about it, I believe I was strongly influenced/inspired by Picasso’s simple, single-line drawings of animals.
